Code of conduct
Training module 5: the rules that keep shops and lenders able to trust you.
Shops trust you with their business, and lenders trust your counts. These rules protect both. Breaking them can get your account suspended or ended.
Be honest with shops#
- Explain what TradeBroken does and what it costs. Point to pricing rather than quoting from memory.
- Don't promise loans, discounts or features TradeBroken doesn't offer.
- Never take money for TradeBroken. Shops pay TradeBroken directly by MoMo or card. You're paid by TradeBroken.
Respect the owner's account#
- The owner chooses their own email and password. Never ask for them, never write them down, never sign in as the owner.
- Only set up a shop for an owner who has agreed to it, with their real name and phone.
- Don't register a shop twice, or under someone else's code, to earn from it.
Count honestly#
- Count what's on the shelf. Never guess, copy a number or change a count to suit anyone.
- Don't accept a booking from a shop you have a stake in without saying so.
- Never accept money or gifts from a shop to change a count. A lender relies on it.
Keep information private#
- You may see an owner's name and phone to call them about payment. Use them only for that.
- What you see in a shop stays in the shop.
Be reachable and on time#
- Answer booking invitations quickly. Decline if you can't make it.
- Turn up on the day you accepted. If something comes up before the shop pays, pull out so they can book someone else.
If something goes wrong#
Tell TradeBroken through the contact form as soon as you can: a shop asking you to bend a rule, a mistake in a count, a payment problem. Owning up to a mistake early is always better than hiding it.
