Billing and renewing
Your TradeBroken subscription: what the statuses mean, how to renew by MoMo, and what happens if you're late.
Your TradeBroken subscription is separate from your shop's own money: it never appears in your sales, expenses or reports. Only the owner can see billing and pay.
Where you stand#
Open Billing. It shows your plan, what you're paid up until, and any invoices waiting to be paid. Your status is one of:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting for payment | You've registered but not paid the registration fee yet. Pay it to open the shop. |
| Paid up | You're paid until the date shown. |
| Free time | TradeBroken gave you time at no charge. |
| Renewal due | The paid time has ended, but you're in the grace period. Everything still works. Pay before it runs out. |
| Lapsed | Grace is over. The shop is read-only: you can see everything but not record new sales. Nothing is deleted. |
A banner reminds you when renewal is near, and tells staff to ask the owner if the shop can't be used.
Renew#
- Open Billing and choose how many months to pay for (1 to 12). You'll see the total.
- An invoice is made for it, like
INV-000042. - Pay it: your own number is filled in for Mobile Money; change it if someone else is paying. You need a confirmed phone number to pay.
- Follow the instructions shown: which MoMo number to send to, with the invoice number as the reference. Then wait. The page shows pending until the payment is confirmed.
When it's confirmed, the shop opens (or the paid-until date moves forward) straight away, with no need to sign in again.
How the dates work#
- New time starts where your paid time ends. If you renew during grace, the days you already used still count, so you don't pay twice for them.
- After a lapse, new time starts from today. You never pay for months you couldn't use.
- The registration fee includes your first month, so pay it before asking for a renewal.
If it's taking long#
At the moment, payments are checked by a person: you send the MoMo and TradeBroken confirms it, usually within a few hours. The payment shows as pending until then. If you try to pay the same invoice again, you're shown the attempt already under way, so you don't pay twice by accident.
If it's been much longer than expected, contact us with the invoice number and the MoMo transaction ID.
Your invoices and payments#
Billing lists every invoice (registration, renewal, free time, and any booked count you paid for) and every payment attempt with its status. A booked count's invoice doesn't buy subscription time.
