Open your shop
Register, confirm your phone and pay the registration fee by MoMo.
Opening a shop takes about five minutes. You'll need your Ghana mobile number (for a confirmation code) and Mobile Money to pay the registration fee.
1. Fill in the form#
Go to the TradeBroken website and tap Open your shop. The form has three short steps:
- Your shop: its name, its web address (made from the name; you can change it), and what you sell. Picking what you sell puts those kinds of product first when you add products later.
- Contact: your own mobile number (kept private; the code is sent to it), the shop's public number if it has a different one, and the address. If a relationship manager helped you, enter their code (it looks like
RM-7K3FQ). - Your account: your name, the email you'll sign in with, and a password of at least 8 characters.
If something isn't right, the form tells you next to the field and keeps everything you typed.
2. Confirm your phone#
A 6-digit code is texted to your number. Type it in. The code works for 10 minutes; if it doesn't arrive, ask for a new one (you can do that once a minute).
3. Pay the registration fee#
Pay by MoMo from the same screen: your number is filled in, or change it if someone else is paying. Approve the payment on your phone and the shop opens as soon as it's confirmed. The fee includes your first month; see Pricing.
After that#
- Add your branches and staff.
- Add your products, or import them from a spreadsheet.
- Set up your shelves and labels.
Renewing#
Each month (or several at once) renew from Billing, again by MoMo. If you're late there are a few days' grace. After that the shop becomes read-only until you pay: you can see everything, but not record new sales. Nothing is ever deleted.
